Who We Are
Serial Shield 3D™ is a small 3D-printing brand operated by D.D Collectables LLC in San Antonio, Texas.
The brand grew from hands-on experience collecting, displaying, storing, and selling currency and other collectibles. That experience guides every Serial Shield 3D™ design: it must solve a real storage or display problem, fit cleanly, and remain simple to use.
We produce currency frames, coin capsule holders, 2×2 coin-flip storage, modular storage systems, graded coin and banknote stands, and custom 3D-printed products.
Designed With Collectors in Mind
Generic storage products often waste space, fit poorly, or make a collection harder to organize. Serial Shield 3D™ products are developed through repeated prototyping and real-world use.
We focus on:
- Practical dimensions and reliable fit.
- Clean, organized presentation.
- Efficient use of storage space.
- Minimal unnecessary support material.
- Little or no preparation before use.
- Expandable designs where modular storage makes sense.
Black carbon fiber is the standard finish for most collector products, with additional colors offered on selected designs.
Materials Clearly Described
Transparency matters, especially when a product is used around collectible currency.
Serial Shield 3D™ currency frames use Archival Quality Optically Clear Polyester PET/Mylar/Melinex windows in the stated 4-, 7-, or 10-mil thickness, along with archival-safe double-sided tape and black-plated screws.
The 3D-printed structure provides support and presentation, but the printed plastic itself is not represented as archival-safe. Every product listing identifies the materials, dimensions, included components, and available options for that specific product.
Built in San Antonio
Our core collector products are designed, prototyped, tested, and produced in San Antonio, Texas.
As a small business, we can pay close attention to fit, print quality, practical improvements, and customer feedback. When a design can be made cleaner, stronger, easier to use, or more space-efficient, we continue refining it.
