Agreement to These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of serialshield3d.com, including purchases, customer accounts, custom-project requests, and other services offered through the website.
By using this website, creating an account, placing an order, or submitting a custom-project request, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and any policies referenced during checkout. If you do not agree, do not use the website or place an order.
Our Privacy Policy and any applicable shipping, return, refund, or custom-project policies form part of these Terms and Conditions. The version in effect when an order is placed applies to that order.
Who We Are
This website is operated by D.D Collectables LLC, doing business as Serial Shield 3D™.
Serial Shield 3D™ is based in San Antonio, Texas. Our website address is https://serialshield3d.com.
Questions about these Terms and Conditions may be sent to sales@serialshield3d.com.
Eligibility and Customer Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to place an order or approve a paid custom project. A person under 18 may use the website only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who places the order and accepts responsibility for it.
If you create a customer account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for protecting your login information and for activity conducted through your account.
Notify Serial Shield 3D™ promptly if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization. We may suspend or close an account when reasonably necessary to address fraud, misuse, security risks, or violations of these Terms and Conditions.
Products and Services
Serial Shield 3D™ offers 3D-printed storage, display, and protection products for paper currency, coins, precious metals, and related collectibles, along with custom 3D printing services.
Products and services are subject to availability. We may change, limit, or discontinue a product or service at any time, but doing so will not remove obligations already accepted for a confirmed order.
Unless a product listing expressly states otherwise, our products and services do not include professional authentication, grading, appraisal, investment, or conservation services.
Custom 3D printing is subject to the project requirements, quote, customer approval, and additional terms stated later on this page.
Product Information and Variations
We make reasonable efforts to describe and display each product accurately. Product dimensions, capacities, compatibility information, materials, colors, and included components are stated in the applicable product listing.
Because many Serial Shield 3D™ products are individually 3D printed, minor layer lines, seams, surface texture, color variation, or differences in sheen may occur. These are normal characteristics of the manufacturing process and are not defects when the product otherwise conforms to its description and intended function.
Colors may appear differently because of lighting, photography, display settings, filament batches, and manufacturing conditions.
Product photographs may show paper currency, coins, bullion, graded holders, capsules, sleeves, or other collectibles for demonstration purposes. These items are not included unless the product listing expressly states otherwise.
You are responsible for reviewing the product description, dimensions, compatibility information, and included components before ordering.
Pricing, Taxes, and Payments
All prices displayed on serialshield3d.com are stated in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated. Prices may change before an order is placed.
Applicable taxes, shipping charges, discounts, and other disclosed charges will be calculated or displayed during checkout before the order is submitted.
Payment must be made using an available payment method presented during checkout. Payment authorization or an automated order-received message does not guarantee that an order has been accepted.
Serial Shield 3D™ may correct obvious pricing, description, calculation, or typographical errors. If an error affects an order already submitted, we will contact you before fulfillment or cancel the affected order and refund any payment collected for it.
Orders, Acceptance, and Cancellations
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products under these Terms and Conditions. An automated order-received email confirms that we received the order but does not guarantee acceptance or fulfillment.
Serial Shield 3D™ may refuse or cancel an order because of product unavailability, an obvious pricing or listing error, unsuccessful payment, suspected fraud, an unverifiable or prohibited shipping address, or another reasonable business or security concern.
If Serial Shield 3D™ cancels a paid order, the amount collected for the canceled portion will be refunded to the original payment method.
To request cancellation, contact sales@serialshield3d.com as soon as possible. Cancellation is not guaranteed after an in-stock order has entered processing or shipped. Custom-project cancellations are governed by the custom-project terms stated later on this page.
Shipping, Delivery, and Risk of Loss
Serial Shield 3D™ currently ships only to eligible addresses within the contiguous 48 United States. We do not ship to package-forwarding, mail-forwarding, freight-forwarding, or reshipping services.
Processing and carrier transit times are estimates unless Serial Shield 3D™ expressly provides a guaranteed date in writing. Carrier delays, weather, service interruptions, holidays, and other events outside our reasonable control may affect delivery.
If we cannot ship within the promised or legally required period, we will provide any notice, cancellation option, or refund required by applicable law.
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Additional shipping charges may apply if an order must be sent again because the original address was incorrect, incomplete, refused, or undeliverable.
Subject to applicable law, risk of loss passes to you when the carrier records the package as delivered to the shipping address supplied with the order. Contact Serial Shield 3D™ promptly if a shipment arrives damaged, is lost in transit, or is marked delivered but cannot be located.
Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds
Return eligibility, time limits, and instructions for standard, non-custom products are governed by the Return and Refund Policy in effect when the order is placed.
Contact sales@serialshield3d.com before returning any product. Unauthorized returns may be refused. An eligible standard product must be returned unused, unaltered, and with all included components unless the return involves damage, a defect, or an error by Serial Shield 3D™.
Custom-made, personalized, modified, and made-to-order products are final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund unless the product has a verified manufacturing defect or production error caused by Serial Shield 3D™. This includes a product that materially differs from the approved project specifications because of our production error.
A change of mind, inaccurate customer-provided measurements, incorrect or incomplete project information, dissatisfaction with an approved design, incompatibility resulting from customer-provided information, or normal 3D-printing characteristics within the stated tolerances does not qualify for a return, exchange, or refund.
Report an incorrect, damaged, or defective product promptly after delivery. Include the order number, a description of the problem, and clear photographs when reasonably possible. Do not return the product until Serial Shield 3D™ provides return instructions.
When a standard product qualifies under the applicable Return and Refund Policy, or a custom product has a verified defect or production error caused by Serial Shield 3D™, we may provide a repair, replacement, partial refund, or full refund as appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law.
Unless an eligible return results from our error, a covered defect, or shipping damage, the customer is responsible for return-shipping costs. Separately charged original shipping costs are nonrefundable unless required by law or stated otherwise in the applicable Return and Refund Policy.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. The time required for the refund to appear may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
Custom 3D Printing Requests and Quotes
Submitting a custom-project request does not require Serial Shield 3D™ to accept the project and does not create an order or production commitment.
We will review the submitted files, images, measurements, requested materials, intended use, quantity, and other project requirements. We may request additional information or decline a project that is outside our capabilities, violates these Terms and Conditions, presents unreasonable safety or legal concerns, or cannot be completed as requested.
A custom quote may describe the project scope, materials, quantity, design or setup charges, price, estimated production time, shipping charges, required payment, and any special conditions. A quote remains valid only for the period stated in the quote and may be revised if the project requirements change.
A custom project becomes accepted only after the customer approves the quote and any required design proof, provides all requested information, and completes any required payment. Production will not begin until those requirements are satisfied.
Requested changes after approval may require a revised quote, additional payment, and additional production time. Serial Shield 3D™ will obtain approval before proceeding with a change that materially affects the price or approved design.
Customer Files and Design Rights
By submitting an STL file, image, design, logo, model, measurement, or other project material, you represent that you own it or have sufficient permission to submit, reproduce, modify, and manufacture it for the requested project.
You grant Serial Shield 3D™ a limited, nonexclusive permission to access, copy, modify, manufacture, store, and otherwise use the submitted materials only as reasonably necessary to evaluate, quote, complete, deliver, document, or support the requested project.
You remain responsible for claims arising from materials submitted without the required ownership, license, authorization, or permission. Serial Shield 3D™ may reject or stop work on a project reasonably believed to violate another person’s copyright, trademark, patent, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
You retain the rights you already own in customer-provided materials. Serial Shield 3D™ retains ownership of its preexisting designs, templates, production methods, processes, tools, software, and other intellectual property.
Unless a written quote or separate written agreement expressly transfers additional rights, original models, design files, modifications, or production files created by Serial Shield 3D™ remain its property. Purchasing a physical product does not automatically include the underlying STL, CAD, source, production, resale, or exclusive-use rights.
Project Approval, Measurements, and Tolerances
You are responsible for providing accurate measurements, compatibility information, intended-use requirements, and other project details requested by Serial Shield 3D™.
When a design proof, rendering, measurement sheet, prototype, or sample is provided for approval, review it carefully. Your written approval authorizes production according to the approved information.
Dimensions, fit, color, texture, and appearance may be affected by material behavior, layer orientation, filament batches, printer calibration, shrinkage, and other normal characteristics of 3D printing. Custom products are subject to the tolerances stated in the quote or approved project specifications and, when none are stated, reasonable manufacturing tolerances for the material and process used.
Serial Shield 3D™ does not guarantee exact compatibility or fit when the project relies on incorrect, incomplete, estimated, or unverified customer-provided measurements.
A product is not defective solely because it reflects approved specifications, normal 3D-printing characteristics, or reasonable manufacturing tolerances. This does not excuse a product that materially differs from the approved project or contains an actual manufacturing defect.
Custom-Project Photography
Serial Shield 3D™ may photograph a custom product when reasonably necessary for production, quality control, order documentation, damage verification, or customer support.
We will not publicly use photographs of a customer-specific custom project on our website, marketplace listings, social-media pages, portfolio, or other promotional materials without the customer’s separate permission.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, permission for promotional use grants Serial Shield 3D™ a nonexclusive and royalty-free right to reproduce, display, publish, and distribute the approved photographs for the approved promotional purposes.
Permission to use photographs does not authorize us to publish customer-provided files, personal information, confidential information, or identifying order details.
A customer may withdraw permission for future promotional use by contacting sales@serialshield3d.com. Withdrawal does not require the recall of materials already printed or distributed or the removal of copies outside our reasonable control.
Materials, Care, and Archival Claims
Product listings identify the materials, protective-film thickness, hardware, and other components included with each product when applicable.
Any archival-quality claim applies only to the specifically identified Archival Quality Optically Clear Polyester PET/Mylar/Melinex film in 4-mil, 7-mil, or 10-mil thickness and archival-safe double-sided tape.
PLA, PLA+, PETG, and other 3D-printing materials are not represented as archival-safe. Black-plated screws are included where stated in the applicable product listing but do not make the 3D-printed material archival-safe.
No storage or display product can completely prevent aging, fading, toning, environmental damage, or changes in a collectible’s condition. Serial Shield 3D™ does not guarantee preservation, a future grading result, or the market value of any item stored or displayed in its products.
Follow all care instructions provided with the product or stated in its listing. Avoid excessive heat, direct sunlight, high humidity, harsh chemicals, excessive force, and other conditions that could deform, discolor, weaken, or damage the product or the collectible inside it.
Customers responsible for exceptionally valuable, fragile, or historically significant items should consult a qualified professional conservator regarding appropriate long-term storage and display conditions.
Product Use and Safety
Serial Shield 3D™ products are collectible-storage, protection, organization, and display accessories. They are not toys and are not intended for use by children.
Products may contain screws, fasteners, removable pieces, or other small components that could present a choking or injury hazard. Keep products and loose components away from children and pets.
Use each product only for the purpose described in its listing. Unless expressly stated otherwise, our products are not designed or certified for structural, load-bearing, food-contact, medical, electrical, automotive, protective-equipment, or other safety-critical uses.
Inspect the product before use and periodically afterward. Stop using it if it becomes cracked, broken, loose, excessively worn, or develops a sharp edge.
You are responsible for proper assembly, installation, compatibility, placement, and use. Serial Shield 3D™ is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, improper assembly, unauthorized modification, excessive weight, excessive heat, chemical exposure, or use outside the product’s stated purpose.
Reviews and Customer Content
Reviews, comments, photographs, videos, and other content submitted for public posting must reflect the customer’s honest experience and must not be false, misleading, fraudulent, unlawful, threatening, harassing, obscene, defamatory, infringing, or designed to distribute spam, advertising, malware, or malicious code.
By submitting content, you represent that you created it or have the necessary rights and permission to submit and publish it. Do not submit another person’s personal information, copyrighted material, trademarked content, or other protected material without authorization.
You retain any ownership rights you hold in submitted content. You grant Serial Shield 3D™ a nonexclusive, royalty-free permission to host, reproduce, format, display, publish, and share the content in connection with our website, products, services, and marketing. We may resize, crop, or format content for presentation but will not materially alter a review in a way that misrepresents the customer’s opinion.
We may reject or remove content that violates these Terms and Conditions, is unrelated to the product or service, contains private information, presents a security risk, or is reasonably believed to be fraudulent or unlawful. We will not reject or remove an otherwise compliant review solely because it contains criticism or a low rating.
Anyone reviewing a free or discounted product or who has another material relationship with Serial Shield 3D™ must clearly disclose that relationship. Any incentive offered for a review will not be conditioned on the review being positive.
Serial Shield 3D™ Intellectual Property
The Serial Shield 3D™ name, branding, logos, website content, text, graphics, photographs, product listings, original designs, models, CAD files, STL files, and other materials owned by or licensed to D.D Collectables LLC may be protected by copyright, trademark, trade-dress, patent, or other intellectual-property laws.
You may access and use the website for lawful personal shopping, account management, and communication with Serial Shield 3D™.
Except as permitted by law or authorized in writing by D.D Collectables LLC, you may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell, license, commercially exploit, or create derivative works from protected Serial Shield 3D™ website content, branding, product designs, or digital files.
Purchasing a physical product does not transfer ownership of the underlying design, branding, CAD file, STL file, production file, or other intellectual property and does not grant manufacturing, reproduction, resale-production, or commercial-use rights.
Names, logos, products, and other intellectual property belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective owners. Reference to a third-party product or brand for identification or compatibility purposes does not claim ownership of that third party’s intellectual property.
Unauthorized Use of Serial Shield 3D™ Content
Original photographs, product images, videos, graphics, renderings, website copy, and creative portions of listing descriptions produced for Serial Shield 3D™ are owned by or licensed to D.D Collectables LLC unless otherwise stated.
Unless D.D Collectables LLC provides prior written permission, no person or business may copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, scrape, display, or commercially exploit this content.
Prohibited uses include incorporating Serial Shield 3D™ content into monetized YouTube videos, competing marketplace listings, advertisements, websites, social-media content, catalogs, product promotions, or other revenue-generating materials without authorization.
Removing, cropping, obscuring, or altering a watermark, logo, copyright notice, trademark, or other identifying information does not provide permission to use the content.
Permission to discuss, review, or purchase a Serial Shield 3D™ product does not automatically authorize the reproduction or commercial use of our original images, videos, or creative listing content.
Nothing in this section prohibits fair use or another use authorized by applicable law. It also does not restrict uses expressly authorized under a valid agreement with a marketplace or service provider.
Requests for written permission may be sent to sales@serialshield3d.com.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use the website, products, custom-printing services, customer accounts, communications, or submitted files for an unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, deceptive, or unauthorized purpose.
You may not submit material that infringes or misappropriates another person’s copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other legal rights.
You may not request the creation of counterfeit, deceptively branded, illegal, dangerous, or otherwise prohibited items. Serial Shield 3D™ may refuse or stop any project that reasonably presents legal, intellectual-property, safety, or security concerns.
You may not interfere with the website’s operation or security, attempt to gain unauthorized access to an account or system, introduce malware or harmful code, impersonate another person, submit false information, place fraudulent orders, or misuse payment disputes, refunds, promotions, reviews, or customer-support services.
You may not use automated tools to scrape, copy, harvest, or extract website content, product information, customer information, or pricing for unauthorized commercial use.
Serial Shield 3D™ may restrict website access, suspend an account, cancel an order, decline a project, preserve relevant records, or take other reasonable action when prohibited activity is suspected. Any refund resulting from a canceled order remains subject to these Terms and Conditions and applicable law.
Third-Party Services and Links
The website may use or link to services operated by third parties, including payment providers, shipping carriers, analytics providers, social-media platforms, embedded content, and other technical or business-service providers.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies, availability, and privacy practices. Review those terms and policies before providing information to or completing a transaction through a third-party service.
Serial Shield 3D™ does not control and cannot guarantee the availability, security, accuracy, performance, content, or practices of an independently operated third-party website or service.
A link, compatibility reference, or mention of a third-party product, company, or service does not constitute sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation unless expressly stated.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that Serial Shield 3D™ is legally required to retain for its own products, representations, actions, or obligations.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Product descriptions, approved custom-project specifications, written quotes, and the Return and Refund Policy establish the express commitments applicable to an order. Serial Shield 3D™ makes no additional guarantee concerning features, compatibility, performance, or results that are not expressly stated in those materials.
The website and its general informational content are provided on an as-available basis. We do not guarantee that the website will always operate without interruption, delay, error, security risk, or technical failure.
You are responsible for determining whether a product is suitable for an intended purpose that is not expressly stated in its listing or confirmed by Serial Shield 3D™ in writing. Compatibility is not guaranteed when it depends on inaccurate, incomplete, estimated, or unverified customer-provided information.
Serial Shield 3D™ does not guarantee that a storage or display product will prevent all aging, fading, toning, environmental damage, or changes in a collectible’s condition, grade, or market value.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any warranty, consumer right, liability, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Limitation of Liability and Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, D.D Collectables LLC and Serial Shield 3D™ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the website, an order, a product, a custom project, or the use or misuse of a product.
This includes lost profits, revenue, data, business opportunities, or changes in the condition, grade, collectability, or market value of an item stored or displayed in a product.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from a product, order, or custom project will not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
These exclusions and limitations do not apply to fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, personal injury, or any warranty, consumer right, liability, or remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
You remain responsible for determining whether a product is suitable for your collectible, intended environment, installation method, and use. Proper care, assembly, inspection, and compliance with product instructions remain the customer’s responsibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless D.D Collectables LLC, Serial Shield 3D™, and their owners, employees, contractors, and representatives from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, judgments, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from customer-provided files, unauthorized project requests, infringement of another person’s rights, unlawful activity, product misuse, unauthorized modification, or a material violation of these Terms and Conditions.
This indemnification obligation does not apply to the extent a claim was caused by our negligence, gross negligence, willful misconduct, breach of these Terms and Conditions, or other conduct for which applicable law makes us responsible.
Texas Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions and any dispute arising from the website, an order, a product, or a custom project are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any mandatory consumer protection provided by applicable law remains unaffected.
Before filing a legal claim, the complaining party should send written notice to sales@serialshield3d.com describing the order or project, the nature of the dispute, and the requested resolution. The parties will have 30 days after receipt of the notice to attempt to resolve the matter in good faith.
This informal-resolution process does not prevent either party from seeking urgent protective or injunctive relief, preserving a legal right, meeting a filing deadline, or pursuing another remedy that applicable law requires or permits.
Unless applicable law requires or permits another location, any legal proceeding must be brought in a state or federal court located in or serving Bexar County, Texas. Each party consents to the jurisdiction of those courts.
This venue provision does not prevent an eligible dispute from being brought in a small-claims court having lawful jurisdiction.
Changes, Severability, and Contact Information
Serial Shield 3D™ may update these Terms and Conditions when its website, products, services, policies, business practices, or legal obligations change.
A revised version will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Changes apply to future website use, orders, and custom-project requests after the revised terms become effective. They will not alter the terms governing an already accepted order unless required by law or agreed to in writing.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the greatest extent legally permitted or removed to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce that provision or another provision later.
These Terms and Conditions, together with the applicable product listing, accepted custom-project quote, approved project specifications, Privacy Policy, Return and Refund Policy, and any other policy expressly incorporated during checkout, form the agreement governing the applicable transaction.
If a specific written term accepted for a particular product or custom project conflicts with a general provision of these Terms and Conditions, the specific written term controls only for that product or project and only to the extent of the conflict.
